Australian Industrial Registry Releases Service Charter

The Australian Industrial Registry today released its first service charter .

The charter outlines AIR activities and sets administrative service standards in a wide range of areas including expected response times, plain language in documentation and respect for privacy.

A feedback mechanism has also been introduced with AIR clients encouraged to fill in a simple form commenting on their experience with Registry services.

The Australian Industrial Registry provides administrative support to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, publishes decisions, orders and awards of the Commission and performs various functions under the Workplace Relations Act 1996 in relation to federally registered industrial organisations, small businesses and individual employees and employers.

The service charter was today posted on the AIRC Home Page ( and hard copies are available at Registry counters in all State and Territory capitals. Anyone wanting a copy by post should contact the Manager in the Registry office in their State or Territory.
