Organisations

During the year, a number of substantial cases were determined by members of the Organisations Panel. They included the determination of:

• · applications by the SMQ Enterprise Union and the Postal Delivery Officers Union for registration as an organisation under the provisions of the Act providing for the registration of an enterprise association;
  
• · applications by the National Tertiary Education Industry Union and the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union to alter their eligibility rules; and
  
• · applications to register the Victorian Principals Association and the Managers and Financial Executives Association as organisations.
  

Appeals have been lodged against a number of these decisions.
